I have to give a special thanks to Pinterest for the platform to inspire and the abundance of inspiration I receive on a weekly basis. I mean, what was life like before Pinterest? That being said, just when you think you are satisfied, you see something else you have to have or you must try. I am sure I am not the only “pinner” who feels this way, right? Well this pretty little vignette is something I wanted to throw together for a while but I was waiting to have some guests over so I could share the prettiness while entertaining. A few florals and floating candles can go a long way. My motto: entertain me pretty. xx, Parisa
Entertain Me Pretty
Prettified Princess Party Hats
Can I just say that I wish I was invited to a princess tea party when I was a little girl? We all deserve to be princesses, right? Even if it’s only for one day! ha ha jk. One of the projects I am current working on is for a friend of mine + boy are her little princesses in store for quite the afternoon of fun, fab, + fairytale festivities. I am prettifying all of the birthday hats for the little girls but the two birthday girls who are sisters are getting their own very own {but slightly different} princess hats with the perfect princess veil. I took an ordinary birthday party hat that you can purchase from any party store and prettified each one to fit this theme. Here is a glimpse of the birthday girl’s princess party hats. Stay tuned for the final photos. Counting down the days! xx, Parisa
Pretty Princess Tea Party Preparations
I don’t have children of my own but I must say I am feeling a little bit of baby fever planning this Princess Tea Party. I mean the level of details a person can dive into for little girls is numerous. That is why I am working my pretty tail off several months in advance to make sure no detail is overlooked. One of the pretty projects I just finished is for the many favor boxes I am filling with goodies. I purchased lip balm and prettified each one with glitter tape so all of the girls can have “princess makeup”. Anytime I work on favors, I try and come up with something that won’t get tossed but will be useful after a party. Here is a glimpse into my prettified lip balm fit for a princess – xx, Parisa
Pretty mad about those Mad Men
So those who know me well know how much I love the TV show Mad Men. I love everything “old hollywood” as it is but the Mad Men TV series brings the early 1960′s to life in such a modern + fresh way that you feel like you just stepped back into time. Personally I swoon over the women’s fashion, their hairstyles, their prim + proper ways + especially the level of domestication kept in the home. There are many other reasons the show has me hooked but needless to say, if you watch the show regularly you will see that one of the most common accessories is a fancy wet bar + a mid day cocktail in hand. I have to admit, they make it look good! So good that my husband + I were inspired to set up our own wet bar/butler stand in our home. Can I just say – it has become one of my favorite corners in my home. Cheers! xo, Parisa
The countdown to Persian New Year | Norooz 1392
With the Persian New Year just around the corner {approximately 8 hours + 35 minutes away!} most Iranian households have their haftseen set, +/or are visiting family + friends in preparation of the New Year. Typically most gather around the haftseen, take pictures in front of it, pass out money to children + celebrate all the good to come in the New Year. I mentioned in my previous blog post what all of the symbolic items on the spread represent, so I won’t go into detail in this post. I hope that the pictures will speak for themselves. To all those who celebrate the Persian New Year: Aidehtoon Mobarak! Omeedvaram keh saleh 1392 por az shadee, moafagheeyat, salamatee, vah khoshee basheh barahtoon. Happy Norooz pretty lovers! xo, Parisa
