a pretty night’s sleep

I have always been a good sleeper. As a child and now as an adult. I manage to get my 8 hours of sleep and sometimes even more. I never realized that being being a “good sleeper” was such a gift. Many others, including my husband sleep on much less than 8 hours and can’t fall asleep when they want to. I literally cannot function with anything less than 8 hours but not only that – my skins sees the difference when I don’t sleep “well”. I obviously don’t have babies yet because we all know that 8 hours asleep a night is not likely.

Well when it comes to beauty sleep, Carly Woods from HSN says, ” we generally fall into two categories; those who manage 8 hours of sleep a night and those who don’t. For the ones who haven’t, they consequently have to do a darn good job faking it.”

Furthermore Carly says, “Simply put, sleep is an essential component to an effective skin care regimen, a time when our skin heals and repairs itself. Therefore, if you’re not getting enough sleep, your skin may start to suffer.

So what can I do to a fake a good night’s rest?

Here is link to Carly’s article titled,  “4 Overnight Products You Should Be Using”. I have to say I have 3 out of the 4 steps down. A personal favorite beauty product of mine is La Mer’s Regenerating Serum. It’s silky, soft and gives my skin a boost. I most definitely notice a difference in my skin when I stop using it.

In all seriousness, off to take a nap! Happy Saturday!
