Simply put – I love entertaining. So much so that I don’t wait for a special occasion or holiday to have family or friends over – but really, I entertain on a daily basis whether it’s for my husband and I, my girlfriends, or simply just me. Come on, doesn’t everything just taste better when it’s “pretty”? I don’t wait to pull out my pretty pieces for a special occasion because I feel as though every day is special occasion. Entertaining doesn’t have to be over the top. It’s more about the little details and the experience you pull together for your guests.
At the age of 21, when most girls are more interested in fashion and makeup, I was always more interested in interior decor/design. I would spend all of my money and collect things for my first apartment in college before anything else. Some of my favorite pieces then and now are by Michael Aram. They are truly pieces of art, perfect for prettifying “life’s everyday moments” as Michael Aram would say. They are practical, functional, and timeless. They make everything look like a million bucks and they make for effortless entertaining.
Though my taste has shifted from traditional to transitional over the years – my Michael Aram pieces have always remained my go-to when entertaining because they are so versatile. I use them essentially in every room in my home.
So now that you know how much I love Michael Aram’s collections, I was over the moon when they contacted me to collaborate on a design project. I participated in an Instagram Takeover as their MyMaStyle expert and styled 3 of their items a few different ways. At the end of this dreamy collaboration when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it did! My husband {soon-to-be baby girl} and I had the opportunity to have a private breakfast with Michael here in Los Angeles! He is such a fascinating, friendly, and humble man. One that oozes creative energy and is so inspiring. So in celebration of Michael’s craft, I would like to share some images of our collaboration.
