Hi pretty lovers!
Though I’m not done decorating for Christmas yet, I wanted to share a few details as promised from my Christmas decor that I continue to get messages about.
Believe it or not, I reused ALL of the exact ornaments from Christmas last year (even less!) as well as my same Christmas tree. For those design sources, please visit last years blog post here.
As for this year, all I did was add 3 different pieces to give my Christmas theme a different look. I love all things MacKenzie-Childs and I wanted to incorporate her courtly check theme. It’s so timeless, festive and fun and I love the way it turned out. I added some courtly check ribbon, a capiz courtly check garland and a pair of courtly check candlesticks to my console table to tie in the area. My daughter is much more active this Christmas so I didn’t want to use any glass or breakable ornaments on my tree. I have I think one or two breakable ornaments but they are at the very top of my tree. Of course I’m all eyes when she is around the tree but I’m at much ease knowing she can’t grab, squeeze or throw anything that can shatter into a million pieces. The courtly check capiz garland could break but it would take a lot of pulling and tugging to take it off the tree as it’s wrapped well in between the tree.
Here are the three links to my new decor pieces for Christmas. It’s amazing how little you have to change in adding or taking away to recreate a whole a new theme.
