It’s that time of year for me when I get to dive into pretty details for three back to back parties in February, March and April. My niece was born in February, my son in March and my daughter in April. So I get busy pulling together design details a few months in advance for all of the parties. If you guys follow me on Pinterest, you will see that I’m consistently gathering inspiration from everywhere throughout the year. This year my sister-in-law and I put our heads together to design a party for my niece that would be most reflective of the things she likes now that she is 2. It was a pretty sweet party, and definitely one to add to our growing book of memories.
Here are some of the party details! We felt that my home would be a good fit for the whimsical backdrop so we set up in my back yard. I was able to find ceramic ice cream cone vases from the $1 section at Target! I couldn’t believe the price for how pretty they are. When I found them, I bought whatever they had and I kept my eyes peeled at any Target I would step into. I don’t think they have them anymore but it’s a great section of Target to always look for potential party details.
Anyone who follows me closely knows that since my daughter’s 1st birthday, I started using faux florals in my party details. I turned to using them because of the flexibility they lend in time for me to prettify floral details in advance versus having to use fresh florals which obviously don’t last as long. Since then, I always keep my eyes peeled for quality looking faux florals. I do work with a lot of vendors in my parties. However whatever I typically can do myself, I try to do myself. This allows me to set up rather quickly the day of the party {and sometimes the day before} so I can just pull out all of the design details and just set up {life with kids, haha}. The florals I used in this party I found at Michaels, Ikea, and Target. I used faux florals throughout and even used them to prettify my niece’s tepee in which she will be using in her bedroom.
The darling ice cream cart was handmade by one of the most talented vendors I work with from Canada, The Happy Hera. You have seen her work from the “Welcome TuTu my party” I did several months back. Yasmin from The Happy Hera can literally make you anything you can think of and customizes all of the details to reflect your vision.
My sister-in-law and brother-in-law also had a custom milky pink surfboard made for my niece’s room that we thought would be the perfect fit to tie into her party details.
Of course, no party would be complete without SWEETS! The most beautiful and delicious cookies were made by Christine Bedrossian of Atelier Christine. Our pretty pastel 3 tiered delicate cake was from the talented Karine from Farine. Too pretty to eat as always.
A huge thanks to my go-to photographer Melody Melikian for always capturing our life’s precious moments – rain or shine. Fun fact – we got poured on by the rain in the beginning of our party! I mean, everything was wet and Melody still managed to capture it all.
I have linked some of the other party details for you guys below. For a quicker reply, please leave any questions or comments in the comment box (versus emailing me). Always love to hear from you guys!
