Self-care can mean different things to different people and I am here to share with you guys today what one of my favorite forms of self-care means for me. I always feel recharged and happier when my home is in the shape I want it to be. Whether my home is clean, whether it’s organized, or whether I’m simply living my best life in my home and just enjoying its comfort. For me, the heart of my home is in my kitchen. When I get to have some time by myself to cook, that is my type of self-care. I have always enjoyed cooking and when I do my mind goes to a place of peace. The end result is something home cooked and delicious for my family and I. The aroma that comes out of the kitchen reminds me of the beautiful memories I have growing up in my mother’s home as young girl. There is just a warmth throughout the house when something is cooking in the kitchen.
As my children went back to school a couple of weeks ago, I decided to browse Walmart Home’s vast collection of premium cookware to add to my kitchen repertoire. Buying new cookware is a way I like to gift myself. That’s also a form of self-care, am I right?! With Fall around the corner, I already see myself making a lot of homemade soups in my Instant Pot and using my cast iron Staud braiser for some slow roasted goodness. What I love about using this particular cast iron braiser is the clear glass lid. It’s so nice to be able to monitor your cooking without having to remove the lid which helps to lock in all that delicious moisture and flavor while cooking. Moreover, I have had my eyes peeled for some “gold” flatware but not too harsh or bright in color. I finally came across this brushed champagne flatware set that is so beautiful and delicate. The color and quality of them thus far is what I have been looking for. I also love my surroundings to be pretty when I cook. I always have fresh or faux flowers in every corner of my home. I love this set of ceramic planters and particularly love the design of them. The design of the planter vases instantaneously gave my fresh floral arrangement an elevated, chic and modern aesthetic that now sits pretty on my kitchen counters.
Lastly, I wanted to revamp my pantry a bit with some new storage pieces so that when our families come to visit us over the holidays, my pantry will be looking of course pretty yet functional. These woven hyacinth tank baskets are so gorgeous and match the current aesthetic I have going on in there. If you guys know me well you know that I have a thing for pretty baskets all around my house. For these particular woven hyacinth tank baskets, I really like that they have 3 separate compartments in one basket. I have linked some other items I have and love below for the home. If you are anything like me, I always “need” something new for my home, big or small.
Additionally I wanted to share that when I love something I want it fast. I would like to think that most share the same sentiments as I do. I enjoy shopping Walmart Home a lot because I love that they offer a free 2-day shipping and returns policy for purchases over $35. Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post but thank you even more for being my one stop shop for many of my self-care satisfactions.
