“Come on Barbie, Let’s Go Party”

Happy Birthday to the daughter of my dreams! My beautiful daughter who blessed me with a whole new being as a m o m and who has added so much joy to every aspect of my life.

Planning parties for other people is always fun but planning parties for my own children is something else. After all, my children are the inspiration for how Pretty Please Baby + Child came to fruition. This year, we celebrated my daughter’s seventh birthday! I just cannot believe it. It feels like yesterday I shared a blog post on her first birthday.

This year my daughter wanted a Barbie theme birthday party and we had so much fun coming up with the details. Unlike my usual palette of colors, I went a little bolder this year with jewel tones and I loved the dimension it brought to this party. It was bold, beautiful, and still soft. We had my daughter’s birthday party after school with her classmates and it was a nice change to the monotony of the school schedule during the week giving the kiddos a chance to bond outside of school. It ended up being such a windy day that my backdrop nearly fell over and everything on the tables kept flying away. Needless to say, we all had a blast, especially my sweet Sienna.
