Persian New Year {Norooz} 1403

March 18, 2024
Celebrating Norooz {Persian New Year} is more and more fun for me to celebrate as my children are getting older. They are whole heartedly so into all of our 3000 year old ancient traditions and it really makes me so proud to see them appreciate the culture my parent’s have passed down to us. This year I went for a fresh and modern design, mixing traditional pieces of decor for that extra Persian flare. If you are unfamiliar with Norooz {Persian New Year}, Norooz in its literal translation means New Day – “No” means New and “Rooz” means Day....

Winter Wonderland Birthday Party

December 28, 2023
My beautiful client had always dreamed of doing a Winter Wonderland party for her girls and here we are my friends, we finally did it! No detail is too small and we definitely didn’t leave anything out on this one. We pulled off an all pink, mommy and mini party full of oh-so-many winter details that will keep you here for a while. I used a soft palette of pinks, whites, silver and some pops of red in between. I designed the backdrop to match the kids plates and it is one of my favorite customizations of this party....

Pretty Please Christmas 2023

December 5, 2023
I hopped on my pinterest to find some Christmas inspiration this year and I saw a tree decorated from last year done at The Nomad Hotel in London. This tree instantly made my eyes see hearts. I knew I had to recreate my own version of it. It’s traditional and unique. It’s simple yet makes a statement. I just love the organic ornament clusters and the floating candles. Everything I used and a little more is linked below. Happy Holidays from my home to yours.

Vista Alegre x Oscar De La Renta

December 3, 2023
A couple of years ago I started a new collection of beautiful tableware from Vista Alegre and I have used my homeware collection extensively because of how versatile the pieces are. I recently added more to my collection and I’m particularly in love with the Coralina collection which is a tableware collaboration between Vista Alegre and Oscar De La Renta. The floral motifs in the Coralina collection are inspired by a dress created for Vogue magazine by Oscar De La Renta (September 2006). The blend of colors in the Coralina collection complement my Terrace set so well that I...

Scarlett’s Frozen Par-Tea! | 4th Birthday

November 21, 2023
Honored to have designed another party for one of my favorite families with the most adorable little girls. You may recognize this beautiful family from the Celine in Paris party I designed. This time around we planned a pretty party for Celine’s sister, Scarlett. Four the first time in four-ever we par-tea’d pretty and it was a magical one. Ash Reshteh {Persian Noodle Soup}

September 25, 2023
What does home smell like to you? To me it smells like peeyaz dagh (caramelized / fried onions). An aroma that transcends me to growing up in a warm and loving home where my mom was always making our family or a house full of guests the most delicious Persian food. Her presence in the kitchen was the heart of the home for me. Keeping tradition alive, I’m making a classic Iranian soup called Ash Reshteh (Persian Noodle Soup). All I can say is that it’s delicious, aromatic, and nutrient rich. I read online somewhere that it’s a “one...

Bazella W Riz

June 30, 2023
This Lebanese dish is a favorite I learned from my mother-in-law. It’s a pea and carrot stew with vermicelli rice made with beef stew, garlic and a medley of spices, all simmered in a rich tomato sauce. There are different versions and different ways to make this dish. Over time I have taken those different versions to compliment my family’s palate. It’s quick, healthy and hearty. Hope you will try it!

{Celine in Paris} 1st Birthday

June 4, 2023
This pretty Parisian inspired 1st birthday was one for the books. It was a dreamy day and it was such an honor to finally be able to design and plan a party for this beautiful family. The theme was meant to be as my client (and friend) found out she was expecting while in Paris. When her and her husband found out they were expecting another beautiful little girl, they decided to give her a French name, Celine. The design direction we aimed for was a very a feminine one with beautiful shades of pinks and all the magical...

PERSIAN NEW YEAR {NOROOZ} 1402

March 20, 2023
With the ongoing revolution happening in Iran, Norooz (Persian New Year) will feel a lot different for Iranians around the world this year. That being said, our rich and ancient history should be kept alive and our beautiful cultural traditions should continue to be celebrated. My vision and design direction for my haft-seen this year was done with high hopes for freedom for Iran. May the fight for freedom and all the lives lost not be in vain. If you are unfamiliar with Norooz {Persian / Iranian New Year}, Norooz in its literal translation means New Day – “No”...

Koofteh Berenji {Persian Meatballs}

February 23, 2023
There are many versions of Persian Koofteh {Persian Meatballs} and my go-to version is the one I learned from my beautiful mother. It also happens to now be a favorite of my husband’s (who is not Iranian) and so I make this dish often. My version of Koofteh Berenji is mixed with meat and an assortment of dry herbs and basmati rice, cooked in a simple turmeric and tarragon infused tomato broth.  Follow and save my Koofteh Berenji reel recipe on my Instagram and let me know if you have any questions and/or comments. I hope that you will...
