Summer is here and we are all about it! It has been so beautiful to find comfort in entertaining again and being able to spend time with dear family and friends in our home has become a regular occurrence. We have had a busy summer thus far, and while we have no immediate travel plans this summer, the island of Capri in Italy has been tugging on my heart. Some things that are top of mind when thinking of Capri are the abundance of lemon trees, vivid greenery, the coastal lifestyle, and well some of the most gorgeous Italian Carrera marble stone used all around.
I am delighted to be able to partner with Walmart Home this summer to create my summer escape for Capri but at home! I ordered a bunch of Italian inspired tabletop items from Walmart and I was able to find so many fun items to bring my inspired aesthetic together to entertain alfresco style.
One of the biggest summer treats is going to be the use of this shaved ice maker that will surely be a hit for my kiddos and the regular play dates we have at home with their friends. Instead of using standard bowls or cups for the shaved ice, I decided to order these petite porcelain ramekins I find the perfect size for a sugary treat. I also thought the ramekins would be versatile in use for other entertaining purposes down the road. I am all about efficiency and reusing / restyling the things I like. You could use them by styling them on a cheese board with olives and nuts – use them by putting pickled condiments in them as an option on the side of a lunch or dinner meal – or use them to place chopped or loose fruit in them next to your self service bar or in my case shaved ice station for toppings.
Like most parents, my summer days are so busy with my little ones and I am always thinking about how I can entertain them. With them in mind, I also found this ice cream / frozen yogurt maker and ice cream / popsicle maker for fun ways to cool down this summer.
