A couple months ago I shared on my Instastory that my daughter is trilingual. I got so many questions and continue to get them as to how we have taught her Farsi, Armenian and English so I thought to share our journey here with you as it isn’t a short answer. I would like to mention that I’m not making any recommendations here as all people learn at a different pace and learn differently. There has been a lot of trial and error for my husband and I and it most certainly isn’t easy. It just takes commitment and...
So I don’t have much of a skin care routine thanks to my kiddos. I wish I did but I have to admit most nights I fall asleep with my makeup on because I’m so exhausted. I’m terribly overdue for a facial, like years overdue. Surprisingly, I am not a beauty junkie either. I am such a creature of habit when it comes to makeup and I always wear the same thing – from day to night. If I want my makeup to have a little punch at night I will put on some individual or strip lashes for...
One of my most asked questions is where to find my mirror and console table. These are pieces I bought when I first got married almost 6 years ago. I have used both the mirror and the console table so many different ways and in a few different spaces, styled together as well as separately. I really find them to be versatile pieces. The colors of the pieces make it easy to match everything. A little secret, the console table didn’t come with the stone top it has on it. I had some extra Italian Carrera marble stone left...
One of the staple dishes at any lunch or dinner table where there is Persian food is tahdig. Tahdig means “bottom of the pot”. “Tah” meaning bottom and “dig” which means the pot in which we cook the rice in. Tahdig is otherwise known as crunchy rice and often raced for at the table. We intentionally crust the bottom layer of the rice to achieve this crunch and we eat tahdig with any Persian dish or stew. There are a couple of other delicious versions of tahdig including an additional layer of sliced potatoes or the use of flatbread,...

“Minnie in the Garden” Sienna’s 3rd birthday
May 19, 2018My “Minnie in the Garden” theme came to fruition nestled in one of the most charming patios at our favorite restaurant. A restaurant in which my husband and I have celebrated many of our life’s most important milestones together. Celebrating my daughter’s birthday there was truly nostalgic and one for the books. Moreover, to say that I love florals is an understatement, faux or fresh. My regulars readers know that, right? My goal was to bring Minnie Mouse to life in a garden setting to reflect both pretty and playful. Above all the details, my daughter truly enjoyed enjoyed...

Milan’s Christening
As I sit here to write about my son’s christening, I wonder to myself how is time just slipping through my hands? I feel like I just sat down yesterday to write and share my daughter’s christening details with you guys. With a few months to plan Milan’s christening I decided to keep things classic and use a lot of French Blue where I could. That is my favorite color in general but especially for my son. I had a custom tapestry made with a verse we found special – “every good and perfect gift is from above” James:1:17....

“Some bunny is ONE!” Sienna’s 1st birthday
May 18, 2018I wanted to share with you guys a little bit about Pretty Please Baby. I stopped working/designing Persian wedding ceremonies once I found out I was pregnant with my daughter in 2014. Once my daughter’s 1st birthday came around I quickly realized how much I had missed designing and DIY’ing. I realized that I could still make time to do what I love and that is why I started using FAUX florals more than I ever had because it gave me so much freedom and flexibility to prepare her party decor months in advance. I used to be at the...

Un avec Ladurée – Ladurée Inspired 1st birthday
With any excuse to plan a pretty celebration, I had the pleasure of designing my sister-in-law’s daughter’s 1st birthday. My sister-in-law and I were brainstorming ideas and her suggestion was a tea party theme. I suggested we add extra pretty to the tea party theme by pulling inspiration from the oh so pretty and delicious French bakery Ladurée. Ladurée has a special in my heart because of my sister-in-law. While my husband and I were dating many many years ago she would always bring me back Ladurée macarons from her travels. Guys, I didn’t even know what a macaron was...

“TIME FLIES” Milan is ONE!
March 25, 2018It has been a really busy past couple of months and an even busier year! My baby boy turned the big ONE and it’s so true that “TIME FLIES” especially with your second child. Nothing makes my heart sing more than seeing my two little ones grow up close in age. I chose the “TIME FLIES” theme for the obvious reasons and I hope that you guys will find it as special as I do! I love all things vintage and that aesthetic was my goal to create. I was challenged as to how to create something with florals and...

Milan’s Teething Celebration | “Agra Hadig”
November 1, 2017I don’t have time for much these days as a full time mother of 2 little ones, but I do always find the time to plan events for them. Clearly my blog posts (or lack there of) is a reflection of the only time I get on here to post and share their events I work on ha ha (sorry to any avid readers of mine – I will be back!). I plan my children’s events so far in advance, most would think I am crazy. Actually, any sort of crafting, styling, or design brings me so much calm...
